Technology has potential to transform education. For this reason, all governments of developed countries are interested in introducing technology in classrooms.

Firstly, with technology we can expand the education experiences of all our students. These experiences can be more effective and more engaging for students. In others words, children are interested in technology and if we use technology in educational experiences, their achievements will improve.

Secondly, teachers can be connected with other teachers, that is to say they can learn from the experiences of other teachers. For example, if a teacher uses a blog and on this blog, he uploads activities that he and his students do, the other teachers can use them too.

Nowadays, most families have computers at home but some families maybe can't buy a computer because they can't afford to do so. Therefore, these students have a disadvantage.

In my opinion, with technology, teachers have more resources to do activities which are more interesting for students. Talking about resources, what do you think about web 2.0 in education?

Dear Ursula,

Thanks for your e-mail and for the information about the course of technology in education. It seems very interesting.
Could you tell me what day it is, when you know?

Ask for your question: I started at school when I was four years old, that is to say I started one year later. It was my mother's decission; she thought that I was too young. In my opinion, it's better to start as early as you can because you can connect with other children and with teachers early. Then, your adaptation to school is faster.
In general, my school experience was very traditional. Teachers were talking all time and the lessons weren't interactive. We used books and worked with book activities.

Best wishes,
Leticia.
